When I read the Hunger Games, the main plot, the characters, and landscape, it was all so beautifully well written. So it took me a few days to realize that I learned something from it.
Behind the tale of survival is another tale, a tale of freedom. I'm sure this will be emphasized more in the next few books. I just couldn't shake this feeling of 'there's more to life than just surviving, you have to thrive'.
I'm sure to most of you this lesson was obvious, but when I did realize it I decided to take another step in my life, not just get by, but I'm going to start writing my novel(s) again.
